Shanghai CRT Co-Hosts HEResearch Session on Class and Gender

The Shanghai City Research Team, in collaboration with the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, hosted a hybrid session presented by Dr. Fran Martin, on class and gender in China. The talk examined how gender and class are reproduced in Chinese women’s transnational education. Dr. Fran Martin is a professor of cultural studies at the University of Melbourne, and recently completed an ethnographic study on the experiences of Chinese women living and studying in Melbourne.
