Dr. Linda Peake Honored by American Association of Geographers

Dr. Linda Peake, Principal Investigator of Urbanization, gender and the Global South, has been celebrated with a 2023 AAG Lifetime Achievement Honor by the American Association of Geographers. Linda’s work on comparative urban feminist theory and transformative engagement with activist groups in the Global South were recognized by the institution, as well as her longstanding work on social geography and race. Dr. Peake is also honored for “career dedicated to extending equity, diversity, and inclusion at her institution (York University, Canada) and across the discipline of geography.” Congratulations, Linda!
