The HEResearch Lecture Series, held in collaboration with the Shanghai CRT, unpacked the precarity of cultural work in the U.K. on May 26, 2023. Professor Hye-Kyung Lee and Dr. Sana Kim discussed their findings from an ESRC-funded project titled ‘Sustainable Cultural Futures’, focusing on “the overall historical and structural contexts for the current attention in cultural policy to labour issues” and proposals for creating a cogent creative labour policy in the future.
