About the GenUrb Logo

The seven colours in our project’s logo each represents a GenUrb City Research Team: light teal for Cairo, Egypt; purple for Cochabamba, Bolivia; red for Georgetown, Guyana; orange for Ibadan, Nigeria; blue for Mumbai, India; green for Ramallah, Palestine; and light orange for Shanghai, China. The intersecting lines are meant to represent lines on a map and the importance of the comparative aspect of the GenUrb project. The logo was designed by Natasha Aruri, a member of our Ramallah CRT, and Rawan Mostafa, a research assistant with the York Team.
